This has been an exceptional month for me. My work has been juried in to two special shows so I'll be sending out two newsletters. (This is the first.)

This first newsletter features the exhibition soon to be at the VIVA Gallery.

As the gallery wrote: "VIVA welcomes all of the community to attend the seventh Southern California Open Regional Exhibition. SCORE VII is an exceptional juried show featuring a select number of the finest artists in Southern California. Fabulous artworks are featured in a wide variety of media and styles – oil, acrylic, watercolor, collage, collagraph, mixed media, assemblage, and sculpture.
SCORE VII is open to all artists in Southern California. Hundreds of entries competed to be juried in to this prestigious exhibition. "

The exhibition can be seen at VIVA between October 29 – November 15

Reception: Sunday, November 2, 2008, 1–4pm.

The painting of mine that is in the show is titled:

Ramshackle

This painting depicts a lonely derelict homestead in the midst of nature's spring glory in the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve.

Come by the gallery to see all of the paintings that were juried in.

Just in case you are coming to the reception to see ME I'll be only there early between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. I'd love to see you.

After that I'll be driving to South Pasadena for the NEXT art reception of the day. Look for my next newsletter soon to highlight THAT show.
