Those of you who have followed my art journey know that of all the places I've painted, Leo Carrillo State Beach at Sequit Point is my favorite place. This scene is from a past trip where I ended up painting near Tower 2. I usually paint near Tower 3. This scene is from the cliffs looking toward Tower 2. I loved the beautiful clouds reaching up into the bright blue sky. Recently during this pandemic I ventured outside for a small "road trip" with my husband. It was refreshing to drive up the coast all the way up and back between Pt. Mugu and Cross Creek. It was a beautiful cold crisp and clear day and I was filled with hope and joy. We stopped for a bit to look out at the very low tide at Leo. (That's one of the reasons I always love Leo -- It is always changing -- always inspiring.) At the time we went I didn't realize that the day before it had snowed in Malibu Canyon! SNOW!!! Imagine that! My girlfriend posted a photo on Facebook which I'll include here.
