Karin Jurick is a terrific artist who paints everyday scenes of everyday people. She also encourages other artists to paint and exercise their creative imaginations by posting a challenge photo every two weeks on her alternate website, "Different Strokes From Different Folks".
Artists are encouraged to "paint" the photo. I've tried it twice now and stuck pretty much to copying the photo. But I've been amazed and amused by the diverse interpretations and alterations people make in their work that are posted on Karin's website. Take a look at all of the variations on this challenge!
I've kicked myself for the last two challenges because for one reason or another I've missed them. This time I decided to try to do this challenge and to do it creatively rather than trying to "copy" the photo.
Thus I added in two bikini clad guys to the beach scene in the photo to complement the bikini girl and the guy staring off into the distance. ...... "Beach Buns" 6" x 8".... full of fun!
